Recipe: Oatmeal Gingersnaps

1 1/2 c Flour
1 c Sugar
3/4 c Quick cooking oats
1 ts Baking soda
1 ts Ground ginger
1/4 ts Ground cloves
1/4 ts Salt
1/2 c Shortening
1/4 c Molasses
2 Egg
In large bowl, stir together first seven ingredients. Blend in shortening,
molasses, eggs. Beat well for 2 minutes. Form into 1 inch balls. Roll in
sugar, place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake @ 375 8-10
minutes. Take out of oven. Let stand for 1 minute. Cool on rack. Makes 3
1/2 dozen.
