Recipe: Oat and Dried Fruit Cereal with Honey And Hogurt

1 c Old-fashioned oats

1 c Plain low-fat yogurt

1 c Mixed diced dried fruits,

-such as dates, prunes, figs

-and apples
1/2 c Chopped toasted hazelnuts or

-almonds

2 tb Honey
4 1/2 ts Fresh lemon juice

Additional yogurt (optional)

Additional honey (optional)

"This Swiss staple known as Birchermuesli can be a healthful breakfast or
snack.

Combine oats, 1/2 cup yogurt, dried fruits, nuts, honey and lemon juice in
medium bowl; stir to blend. Refrigerate at least 1 hour and up to 6 hours.

Stir remaining 1/2 cup yogurt into mixture. Serve, passing additional
yogurt and honey, if desired.
