Recipe: Lamb or Turkey Gyros

1 lb Ground lamb or ground turkey

2 Cloves garlic, crushed
1 1/2 Trsp dried oregano leaves,

-crushed

1 ts Onion powder

1 ts Salt
3/4 ts Pepper

1 lg Tomato cut in half and then

-slices

1 sm Onion thinly sliced

4 Whole pita pocket breads cut

-in half and warmed

In bowl combine lamb, spices and mix well shape into two oval 1/2" thick
patties. Place patties on rack in broiler and broil till no longer pink
8-10 minutes..turn once. Cut into thin slices (carve>) Place equal amounts
of lamb, tomatoes and onion in each pita half and serve with cucumber
