Recipe: Ham and Lentil Soup





For 12 Persons

4 sl Bacon; chopped

1 Onion; sliced

2 Tomatoes; chopped
1/4 c Chopped parsley

6 c Chicken broth
1/2 c Tomato paste
1/2 ts Thyme

1 c Lentils

2 c Diced smoked ham

Salt and pepper

Fry the bacon until it is crisp. Add the onion and saute for 5 minutes.
Then add the remaining ingredients and simmer, covered. until the lentils
are tender (about 20 minutes). Add salt and pepper.
