Recipe: Garden Vegetable Gratin





For 6 Persons

4 c Cut-up assorted vegetables
3/4 c 2% lowfat milk

1 pk (1 ounce) white sauce mix

1 c (4 ounces) lowfat shredded

-cheese

1 cn (2.8 ounces) Durkee French

-Fried Onions

Microwave Method: Place vegetables in 2-quart microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave, covered, on HIGH for 3 minutes. Add milk, white sauce mix,
cheese and 1/2 can French Fried Onions. Microwave, covered, on HIGH for 8
minutes, or until sauce thickens, stirring once. Sprinkle with remaining
onions. Microwave, uncovered, 1 minutes or until onions are golden.

Conventional Method: Prepare vegetables mixture as above. Bake, covered, at
350F for 40 minutes or until heated through, stirring once. Top with
remaining onions; bake, uncovered, for 5 minutes or until golden. Posted to
