Recipe: Eastern Sauce - Southern Food Version

2 c Cider vinegar
1 tb Peppercorns
1 ts Celery seeds
1 ts Salt
1 tb Hot pepper flakes
1 Onion finely chopped
1 c Water
Preparation: Combine in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and
simmer uncovered for an hour. Strain to remove the peppercorns if you like.
