Recipe: Eastern Sauce - Dennis Rogers Version

1 ga Cider vinegar
1/4 c Salt
2 tb Red pepper
3 tb Red pepper flakes
1 c Firmly packed brown sugar or
-1/2 cup molasses
(Rogers is a popular columnist for the Raleigh New & Observer and
self-proclaimed "Oracle of the Holy Grub".)
Preparation: Mix them up together and let stand 4 hours.
